Our Beneficiaries

Hidayat

Business Partner and Authorised Reseller

Hidayat is an authorised reseller and business partner for Tea Ideas.

As a visually impaired theatre performer and goalball athlete, he brings confidence, discipline and a natural ability to connect with people to his work.

Through digital and social platforms, Hidayat introduces customers to our teas, shares the Tea Ideas story and assists them with their orders. Once a sale is confirmed, our team provides the fulfilment infrastructure, including product preparation, packing and delivery.

This allows Hidayat to focus on what he does best: building relationships and introducing people to products he believes in.

Our partnership is built around complementary strengths. Hidayat leads the customer relationship, while Tea Ideas provides the operational support required to complete each order successfully.

His journey reflects our belief that inclusion is not about lowering expectations. It is about redesigning how work is carried out so that every person has a meaningful way to contribute.

Goh Song Rui

Building Confidence Through Strengths

Rui joined Sippy Mug Café feeling reserved, anxious and uncertain in an unfamiliar working environment.

He began with one clear responsibility: learning to prepare eggs. Through specific instructions, consistent practice and patient support from his workplace facilitator, Auntie Rinda, Rui gradually developed greater confidence and consistency. His family reinforced the same learning at home, creating continuity between his workplace training and daily life.

As Rui became more comfortable, strengths began to emerge that may never have surfaced through a conventional interview.

He demonstrated a natural aptitude for assembling, repairing and working out how things fit together. Whenever café furniture or equipment needed to be assembled, Rui approached the task with enthusiasm, focus and confidence.

Our team adapted its communication by making instructions more concrete, breaking tasks into clear steps and giving Rui the time and structure needed to build on what he does well.

Today, Sippy Mug Café is developing a dedicated Sippy Sandwich station for Rui. Within this structured environment, he will progressively prepare sandwiches, perform quality checks and interact with customers.

The station is being designed around Rui's strengths while helping him develop greater independence and workplace responsibility.

His progress has extended beyond the café. At home, Rui has also begun taking on responsibilities that once felt out of reach.

His story reminds us that potential is not always revealed through interviews or qualifications. Sometimes, it emerges only when a person is given the right environment in which to demonstrate it.
